Mission: To strengthen communities by providing permanently affordable housing and financial empowerment opportunities for working families and individuals throughout Essex County. Vision: We envision all of Essex County, New Jersey as a community of opportunity where regardless of income, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, people have a choice to live where they desire by having access to high quality affordable housing. Goals: The goals of the ECLT are to provide permanent affordable homeownership opportunities for low-to moderate-income individuals; warn against predatory mortgages; facilitate homeowner and financial success education; diversify neighborhoods in terms of ethnicity and income; increase the length of deed restrictions; and provide on-going stewardship over transformed abandoned homes located on CLT land.

The Frank Simmons Band The Frank Simmons Band delivers more than your average band. These musicians know what’s hot, and “bring the party to the party” with high-energy sets designed to keep people dancing. With five talented singers, a rhythm and full horn section, they tackle diverse styles with ease – flowing from Arianna Grande, to The Rolling Stones, to Phish without missing a beat! Members have shared the stage and performed along-side performers including Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, Pink!. They have also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Their enormous repertoire is suitable for all occasions. This proud Jersey band has toured around the world including performances for the NFL, the World Cup and at the metro area’s top hotels & catering facilities. Thanks again, Amanda Good morning, Ian. Best, Sue Hi there, dear Ian – It’s been almost a month since Katie and Anthony’s wedding . . . but not a day goes by that I don’t relive the awesomeness of it! I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to ensure that the entertainment was as over-the-top fabulous as it always is when I work with you and Hank Lane. Putting together an Overlook Foundation event is one thing; coordinating something as personal as my daughter’s wedding is altogether different. You are the ultimate professional, so I had no doubt that every detail would be handled to perfection . . . and that the Frank Simmons Band would be every bit as extraordinary as you promised. From the moment they met you, Katie and Anthony were totally impressed with your knowledge of virtually every kind of music there is, as well as what works and what doesn’t work with a collection of 170 friends and family that spans several generations. Frank and his group were amazing, so talented, upbeat and fun! Of course our guests loved it when the vocalists came onto the dance floor and encouraged everyone to join in. They were also great at reading the crowd, raising or lowering the intensity of the music to enhance the mood at that moment. Katie calls it the wedding of her dreams, and even Anthony, a man of few words, has said that he knew it would be great but he had no idea just how great. I am so grateful to you, Frank and his band, and the Hank Lane team for helping us give our bride and groom the most wonderful day of their lives, one we will all remember forever! Marianne Hi Ian, I want to take a minute and thank Hank Lane and the Frank Simmons Band for a truly spectacular job at our reception. Our wedding was back in April and people are still talking about how amazing the band was! The whole process was truly effortless from day one. My husband was extremely particular about how the music would carry the night and it was more than we could have ever asked for. From the lead singer of the band jumping in with our crazy family and friends on "Shout" to the DJ the rocked the end of the party everything was so perfect! Two life-long friends who grew up in Los Angeles are confronted with the news of the verdict from the Rodney King Trial. Tom (Korean American) is married and a father of bi-racial children. John (African American) is still single, and struggling to find the right job after finishing his masters degree. Both of them work for the utility company and are having a routine morning run to the convenient store when they hear the news. John is upset about police brutality and the injustice of the court system. All 4 officers were acquitted. This launched public outrage and the civilian population took to the streets. Protests, and rioting engulfed Los Angeles and unfortunately Tom and John were caught in the middle of a fire fight. Tom realizes he's almost hit the jackpot with the scratch off tickets he plays every morning. But before he cashes in the winnings. The unthinkable happens. What is important about the film is it opens the conversation about police brutality, injustice of a broken court system, systemic racism, and more importantly how the Los Angeles riots have impacted Black and Korean friendships, romantic relationships, families and interaction between the two communities that seemingly are interwoven unlike any other minority groups.
